Joining Waterman Aspen as a Transport Planner will see you as a key member of the North West team and you can expect:

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare or review engineering studies or specifications.
  • Review and understand information from traffic counting programs.
  • Review development plans for transportation system effects, infrastructure requirements, or compliance with applicable transportation regulations.
  • Prepare reports or recommendations on transportation planning.
  • Produce environmental documents, such as environmental assessments or environmental impact statements.
  • Develop design ideas for new or improved transport infrastructure, such as junction improvements, active travel, bus facilities, and car parking areas.
  • Participate in public meetings or hearings to explain planning proposals, to gather feedback from those affected by projects.
  • Involvement in the full project lifecycle, including budget/finance control.
  • Collaborate with engineers to research and resolve complex transportation design issues.
Qualifications
  • A varied client base where you can apply and develop your skills.
  • Further exposure to the industry and it’s leaders.
  • Working within clients able to influence and make decisions.
  • Current UK Experience within a public, private or third sector UK based client.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.
  • Significant experience in transport planning (10+ years).
