A leading global construction firm in Bristol is seeking a Terminal Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the storage and supply of bitumen. Continental Bitumen, part of the global Colas Group, is a leading supplier in the bitumen industry, trading more than 5 million tonnes annually. With its own international shipping fleet and a UK presence that includes a production and storage facility at Avonmouth Docks in Bristol, we import and blend bitumen for a wide client base and have a bitumen manufacturing plant in Warrington.
This role focuses on both mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance of pressure systems, pumps, and hydraulics.
Main responsibilities include operations management, inventory management, quality control, supplier and customer relationships, team leadership and development. As a Terminal Maintenance Supervisor you will ensure the safe and efficient storage and supply of bitumen from the Avonmouth Depot to Continental Bitumen’s customers, be ambassador for Safety, support with loading bitumen into road tankers, ensure full adherence to the Permit to Work scheme at all times and develop good relations with all site personnel including bitumen delivery drivers.
You will communicate, mentor and train your team through inductions, toolbox talks and appropriate briefings and adhere to all relevant legislation and company regulations, with safety being at the forefront.
The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance experience, ideally around pressure systems, pumps and hydraulics but this is not essential. A relevant technical qualification or certification is also required.
A salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
