Position: Tender Manager

DSV is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Tender Manager to join our team in the third-party logistics (3PL) sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving sales growth through strategic proposals. Reporting to the General Manager Tender Management UK & IE, the Tender Manager will lead the entire tender process, from opportunity identification to proposal submission, ensuring high-quality, timely submissions that meet client requirements and comply with all guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with new clients and assess their needs.
  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end tender process, including analyzing documents, preparing proposals, and coordinating with internal teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive tender documentation and records.
  • Formulate and implement effective bidding strategies, manage resources, and ensure compliance.
  • Create precise bid documents and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to internal teams on tender progress and outcomes.
  • Engage with suppliers to secure favorable costs and terms.
  • Develop pricing strategies aligned with market and business objectives.
  • Monitor bid performance and lead negotiations to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Utilize DSV’s CRM system to track performance and report results.
  • Guide new business implementations and stay updated on industry trends.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a bid or tender manager.
  • Proven success in winning bids for complex projects or large contracts.
  • Strong understanding of the tender lifecycle and proposal development.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence within a matrix organizational structure.
  • High level of numeracy, literacy, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
