Job summary

A leading community care provider is seeking an experienced Team Leader for their Extra Care Service in Bideford. In this role, you will deliver high-quality support to residents living independently while leading a team of Care Workers. Your responsibilities will include conducting supervisions, coordinating tasks, and ensuring personalized support for each resident. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of leadership experience and an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.

About the Role

As a Team Leader in our Extra Care Service, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality support to residents living independently within their own homes in the extra care complex. Our approach emphasizes understanding and responding to the unique needs of each individual, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring their well-being.

You will be the first point of contact for the care and support provided, with responsibilities including:

  • Conducting supervisions, team meetings, and mentoring Care Workers to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Coordinating schedules and allocating tasks to maintain personalized support plans for each resident.
  • Supporting residents with daily living activities such as medication, mobility, and personal care when needed.
  • Building positive relationships within the extra care community.
