A local education authority is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Teaching Assistant to support children with EHCPs at St Mark's CE Primary School in Brighton. Due to the changing profile of the school we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative, resilient and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our highly skilled team working with children who have EHCPs. The TA will support them to access their learning and ensure our children reach their full potential.
We have one TA vacancy with a start date of February 2026 to meet the expected needs of the 2025-2026 cohort. We have some flexibility in appointing to the roles and can discuss this at interview.
Paid weeks per year:47.15(inclusive of holiday entitlement)
Fixed term:Fixed Term until 31st August 2026 (linked to EHCP funding)

The successful applicant will support high quality teaching and learning, working with children who have complex needs. They should promote the inclusion of all pupils and be able to work on their own initiative, as well as be a strong team player. They will be required to provide differentiated support to pupils during all parts of the lesson, to ensure pupils can access the learning and make good progress.
