A local primary school in Canterbury is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to start in January. This role involves supporting children with varying needs under the guidance of the teaching staff. Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 2 and preferably have experience in learning support. The position requires flexibility and a commitment to safeguarding children. The post is for 31.25 hours per week with a competitive salary. We wish to appoint an excellent and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team to start in January. We are looking for a TA with flexibility, experience in learning support and the ability to contribute to our school’s community and vision. The successful applicant will be sensitive to children’s varying needs, but be able to work under the guidance of the teaching team, SENCo and Leadership Team.
Applicants should preferably be qualified to NVQ Level 2, and have some knowledge of the development and learning styles of children and special educational needs. A knowledge of and experience of techniques and resources for working with pupils with speech and language needs and ASC would be preferable.
The TA will be based where their strengths/experience lie and will cover lunch duty. The post will be for 31.25 hours a week. Salary -FTE £25,126 (£18,023.16 pro-rata)
