Cavendish View School provides a nurturing and stimulating education for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) from ages 5 to 11. Our multidisciplinary team includes teachers, a family liaison officer, teaching assistants, a speech and language therapist, an occupational therapist and a mental health practitioner.

About the Role

Join our team as a Teaching Assistant. Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with ASC & SEN? We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils aged 5–11.

Your Role will Include
  • Supporting the class teacher to deliver high‑quality, inclusive education tailored to individual student needs.
  • Providing one‑to‑one or small group support to help students access the curriculum and develop independence.
  • Assisting in creating a stimulating and well‑organised classroom environment suited to learners with ASC, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and complex needs.
  • Helping students manage sensory needs by implementing sensory diets and self‑regulation strategies, guided by the professional team.
  • Supporting the development of life skills and independence, which may include aspects of personal care.
