An independent co-educational school in York is seeking a Teacher of Mathematics to join its successful department on a full-time basis from April 2026. The ideal candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, passionate about inspiring high standards in students aged 11-16, and keen to engage in the school's broad co-curricular programme. Cundall Manor School is an independent co-educational school for pupils aged 2-16, located in a beautiful rural landscape near the North Yorkshire moors. It has excellent transport links by road with York, Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk.
We are looking for a highly able, innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join our successful department on a full‑time basis from April 2026.
The successful applicant will need to be an excellent classroom practitioner and have the ability to get the best possible results from small sets in Years 7 to 11.
The role is suitable for an ECT or experienced teacher who is keen to work in the independent sector.
Candidates will inspire high standards, have a warm approach, and be keen for wider involvement in the school’s rich co‑curricular programme. They should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously with others, including students, colleagues, parents, and the wider community.
