Overview

The Scottish Ambulance Service is seeking a dedicated and proactive Systems Support Technician to join our ICT Service Delivery team in Inverness.

You will play a vital role in supporting and maintaining ICT systems for over 6,000 users across 150 SAS sites and 30 NHS partner sites. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting critical systems that underpin emergency healthcare delivery across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and user support for all ICT systems, including laptops, PCs, servers, and specialist hardware.
  • Support and maintain core SAS ICT systems, such as Ambulance Control Centre systems and back‑office systems.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure cyber resilience and ICT compliance.
Qualifications

You’ll require experience in IT support, ideally within a large or complex organisation and have strong technical skills in hardware, software, and basic network troubleshooting. Knowledge of the following technologies is essential.

  • Windows & Windows Server
  • AD, Azure
  • In‑tune, SCCM
  • Microsoft 365 and cloud computing
  • Supporting a range of modern Print Technologies
  • Graphical Information Systems
  • Disk Array Storage Systems
  • Database Replication Software

Benefits

The hours of work will be 8am‑4pm Monday to Friday, based at Inverness. The successful post holder will also participate on a 24x7x365 on‑call rota and may require significant travel across Scotland.
