An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Surgical Acute Dependency Unit (SADU) at Frimley Park Hospital.

Our unit provides Level 1 care for up to 8 patients, supporting individuals with a range of complex surgical needs. We welcome applications from newly qualified nurses as well as experienced surgical nurses who are motivated to develop their skills in an acute care environment. While recent experience in a similar setting would be advantageous, this is not essential, as comprehensive training, mentorship, and ongoing support will be provided.

The Surgical ADU cares for patients across a variety of surgical specialties, including Colorectal and Upper GI surgery, Urology, and other specialist services. This diverse caseload offers an excellent opportunity for broad clinical exposure, professional development, and career progression.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to upholding our Trust’s vision and values, including being committed to excellence, working together and facing the future. You will also be expected to show flexibility, including participation in internal rotation and shift patterns, to support safe and effective patient care.

Main duties of the job
