Job summary

A community-focused housing organization in the UK is seeking a Support Worker to assist adults with mental health issues at Woodbank House. JOB TITLE: Support Worker - Learning Disability/Mental Health

LOCATION: Woodbank House

POST: Reserve List for Permanent/Temporary, Part-time/Full-Time for Woodbank House

Woodbank House is a supported living accommodation giving care and support for 16 adults with mental health issues. It is situated centrally within Omagh. Woodbank House provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and get involved in day-to-day decision making.

Essential Criteria
  • QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • And
  • 6 months experience in a formal care/support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/mental health issues.
  • Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
  • Previous experience in administrative duties.
  • Or
  • 2 years' experience in a formal care/support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities/Mental Health issues.
  • Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within months
  • Previous experience in administrative duties.
  • Must be willing to work towards the completion of relevant qualification.
  • Formal Care / Support may include caring at home, where the carer is in receipt of Carers' Allowance. Formal Care / Support may also include voluntary work in a formal setting.

This is a regulated post and will be subject to a satisfactory Access NI check.
