Job Title: Support Worker - DMH Day Services x 2

Salary: £24,584 per annum (pro rata equivalent)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Location: West Day Services, Whitehaven

Contract: Permanent

We have an opportunity for a caring, compassionate, and enthusiastic person to join our Day Service team in West Cumbria as a Support Worker providing support and care within our Disability and Mental Health Services.

About Day Services (DMH)

Care Services Cumberland has a diverse range of Day Services for adults with a physical and/or learning disability. The support offered is highly personalised to meet the needs of the individual and promote and maintain independence. West Day services operates from various sites in Whitehaven, Workington and Cockermouth and provides exciting day opportunities, tailored care programmes, performing arts, horticultural, swimming, rebound therapy and outreach support.

About The Role

As a Day service Support Worker, you will get to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. You will also assist with medication, provide personal care, and encourage people to achieve their full potential. We are looking for support workers who are flexible, enthusiastic, willing to undertake specialised activities and training whilst also sharing your own personal skills, interests and ideas. We are particularly interested in individuals who have horticultural interests, enjoy working outdoors, and have an interest in driving a minibus.

We will help and support you with fully paid training and development – we are looking for the right people, with the right qualities. This role requires a DBS check. The level of Counties check for this role is Enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check.
