Job summary

A personal assistance role in Shoreham-by-Sea, aimed at supporting an individual with cerebral palsy in accessing the community and daily living tasks. Job description

Up to 5 hours per week, days and times to be discussed at interview but preferably afternoons and evenings

I am a 22 year old man with cerebral palsy, a very mild learning disability, a high frequency hearing impairment and I mostly use a wheelchair to get around.

I am looking for some support, mainly in accessing the community, as I enjoy eating out, bowling, swimming and exploring other local towns. I also may need help with the following:- preparing meals/snacks/drinks, keeping my living environment clean, assistance with personal care such as showering, toileting, dressing and transferring in and out of my wheelchair, providing company and chatting, accessing the community – trips to town, eating out, trips to the barbers, etc.

I have a great sense of humour if I say so myself and love gaming so if you share these attributes that would be ideal.

You should have the ability to swim and a driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Although I have no pets currently this could change so I would like my PA to comfortable with pets and have no allergies.
