Due to continued organisational growth and development opportunities for our current staff, we are recruiting for support workers to join our staff teams. Supporting vulnerable and complex children/young adults in a range of locations – in and out of their home.

* You must hold a full UK driving licence and have held your licence for 3 years or more *

About the job role as a Support Worker

As a Support Worker, you will be key in helping our young people with everyday living. The young persons have experienced significant abuse and trauma in their early lives. This is a challenging role, but the rewards are incomparable to any other job. You will be working in an environment where the little things that you do every day could have life‑changing results on the young people in our care. Your ambition for the people you support will help them take steps to fulfilling their potential.

Required Skills
  • The ability to communicate clearly and sensitively when talking to people and their families.
  • Great problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt and act accordingly to situations.
  • Good time‑management skills to be able to support the needs of multiple people.
  • The ability to keep up with changing standards and codes of conduct in the social care sector.
  • The ability to work both alone and as part of a team.
  • A high level of patience and emotional resilience.
  • Being empathetic towards everyone.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • A non‑judgemental attitude regardless of a person’s needs.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Forward‑thinking with a flexible approach.
  • Able to follow instruction & direction.
  • Full UK Driving License for 3 years or more, with access to your own vehicle.
  • Flexibility on travel.
  • Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be offered to the right candidates.
