Job summary

A community support organization in Brighton and Hove is seeking a Support Worker to help individuals with learning disabilities lead fulfilling lives. You will work closely with clients, fostering relationships and encouraging them to participate in daily activities. Ideal candidates should be practical, organized, and able to motivate clients through building confidence and using technology. Comprehensive training and development will be provided. About the role

As a Support Worker, you will work directly with people in their homes and in the community. You will be expected to support people with a variety of needs, enabling them to live the lives they want.

Duties will include:

  • Building great relationships with people we support and the people important to their lives
  • Promoting choice and participation when supporting people with daily tasks
  • Co‑creating opportunities for people to try new things and offering information to support people to make their own choices
  • Offering personalised support by working with people’s strengths to build their confidence and overcome obstacles with the aim of achieving their goals
  • Encouraging people to participate in activities that bring them joy and meaning
