Job summary

A community support organization is looking for a Support Practitioner in Glasgow to provide individualized support to adults with complex mental health needs. You will deliver practical and emotional assistance, engage with families and professionals, and participate in on-call duties. Full training is provided, and qualifications are not required. Ideal candidates will value respect, compassion, and inclusivity. Flexible full-time and part-time hours are available, along with a pension scheme and generous holiday benefits.

Qualifications

  • No previous work experience required; full training will be provided.
  • Willingness to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
  • Personal care, cooking and housekeeping skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs.
  • Deliver practical and emotional support to help clients achieve personal outcomes.
  • Work with the team to tailor support to each person’s wishes.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and provide sleep-overs when required.
  • Engage with families and professionals to ensure person-centred service.
