The role of Support Assistant will include

• Providing a high‑quality, hands‑on support service
• Supporting customers to build the confidence needed to gain further independence
• Encouraging customers to develop daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and being part of their community
• Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our customers
• Maintaining a safe environment for clients, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices

Skills and experiences

• Ideally experience working with vulnerable adults; candidates with a passion for the role and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working as part of a team is essential.
• Empathy and a non‑judgemental, positive approach to managing challenging behaviour.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening and time‑management skills.
• Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C in English and Mathematics, essential.
• NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards it, desirable.
