Job description

You will support the development of robust strategies for all areas of water supply, helping to deliver key outcomes for the business and our customers.

What you’ll do
  • Cover all areas of water supply strategy, including production site capability, supply network resilience, leakage, lead pipe replacement and smart metering.
  • Support the development of strategy and business case documents for internal and external use, including contributing to our five‑yearly business plan, ensuring compliance with strategic outcomes and statutory regulations.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business and externally to gather information, feedback and insight, developing relationships across departments and with other water companies.
  • Produce reports and presentations communicating information clearly and concisely to influence supply strategy across the business.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, innovation and regulations relating to water supply.
  • Take ownership of certain areas of supply strategy (dependent on experience).
What you’ll need
  • Degree qualifying or equivalent in a relevant field (environmental, science or engineering).
  • Water industry experience and a good understanding of water supply legislation, policy and practice.
  • Good knowledge of the wider regulatory framework within which water companies operate.
  • The ability to collate data from various sources, and analyse, challenge and transform it into valuable insight.
  • The desire to investigate, analyse and innovate.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to influence a variety of stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently and be self‑organised.
