Job Title:Supervising Social Worker
Location: Rawtenstall
Salary:from £34,457 perannum
Working Pattern: Full-time (37.5hrs aweek)

Olive Branch Fostering has an excitingopportunity for a Supervising Social Worker to join the team inthe Rawtenstall area.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic,independent and skilled social worker to work with bothspecialist and mainstream placements. To manage a caseload of upto 15 carers (FTE), and work within a dedicated team to improvethe outcomes and lives of children looked after.

Main Duties

  • Deliver supervision, support anddevelopment opportunities to a target number of Foster Carersacross the region within the agency&s establishedframework and required standard.
  • Undertake the necessary placementmanagement, planning and intervention to achieve and maintainan 80% occupancy rate across the Foster Carer Team.
  • Ensure that children&s care anddevelopment needs are met; as identified within the Careplan.
  • Undertake direct work as necessary,coordinating the activities of Social Work Assistants/SessionalWorkers and others, to further the outcomes for children andyoung people in placement.
  • Develop and maintain positive workingrelationships with local Commissioning and Social Work Teamswhich further the agency&s partnership arrangements,Provide to each Local Authority, regular monitoringinformation; including child progress reports or reports forLAC reviews .
  • To assist in the delivery of trainingand support groups
  • To provide or co-ordinate mandatorytraining to foster carers.
  • To identify and provide any furthertraining to foster carers.

What we&relooking for

To apply for this position, it is essentialyou:

  • Dip SW/CQSW/Social Work degree andcurrent SWE registration
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and haveaccess to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Willing to undertake an enhancedDBS
  • Experience of working to targets andperformance indicators
  • Have experience in children&sservices and foster care delivery
  • Willing to participate in an out ofhours telephone support system and undertake occasional out ofhours/weekend work by attending events, meetings andtraining
