Job summary

A leading subsea technology company in Plymouth is seeking an innovative Electronics Hardware Engineer to design and develop world-class underwater acoustic systems and embedded firmware. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in analogue and digital electronics design. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of marine and defence technology.

Qualifications

  • Expert in analogue and digital electronics design, including simulation and low-power techniques.
  • Competent in designing for EMC and understanding standards such as EN60945.
  • Competent in C programming; basic understanding of C++.

Responsibilities

  • Designing digital and analogue electronics focused on low power consumption and low-noise performance.
  • Ensuring designs meet EMC requirements, contributing to EMC testing and compliance.
  • Producing high-quality documentation to support development and future maintenance.

Education

2:1 or above in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
