A global defense contractor based in the United Kingdom seeks a Subcontract Programme Manager to oversee the management of supplier performance within moderate to high-risk subcontracts. This role entails developing subcontract strategies, managing agreements, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. The ideal candidate should possess a relevant degree and have 4-6 years of experience in subcontract management. This position offers flexible working, with a blend of remote work and on-site requirements.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week | 4 day working week Monday to Thursday | Remote working but required to come to the office when needed.
Location: Havant or Westbury
The Subcontract Programme Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of supplier cost, schedule and technical performance across a portfolio of moderate to high-risk subcontracts. These include modified Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS), performance-based specifications and complex build-to-print requirements, supporting UK MOD, commercial and international defence programmes.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the role leads multifunctional subcontract management teams and acts as the focal point for supplier delivery, performance assurance and commercial governance. The position holds delegated procurement authority and is responsible for placing and managing supplier agreements and purchase orders within approved limits.
