A leading engineering firm is seeking a Structural Inspector for its Port Clarence facility in Tees Valley. The role involves conducting inspections for structural integrity on prestigious maritime projects, ensuring adherence to project standards and tolerances. Applicants must be UK Nationals with a recognized apprenticeship and a plating background. The position offers a competitive pay rate, 23 days of holiday, life insurance, and a pension scheme.
We are looking for a Structural Inspector to join our dayshift supervisory team at our Port Clarence facility. This role is subject to pre-employment checks, including alcohol and drug screening and also BPSS security clearance (as part of Wilton Engineering’s onboarding process). Due to the nature of work scopes all applicants must be UK Nationals, all applicants should have completed a recognised apprenticeship. The successful applicant will be working on long term Prestigious Maritime projects, (full training will be provided to support the role to deliver the project to the high standard required).
The applicant must have a Plating Background with experience of dumpy levels and other basic dimensional tools. You will be reporting to the Dimensional Coordinator and working closely with the Dimensional Control Team. Ensuring support to the Construction Management in driving project schedules, to ensure delivery on time and on budget (or better); while ensuring adherence to company HSE and quality systems.
