A local government authority in Birmingham is seeking a Strategic Lead for Estate Regeneration. This senior role focuses on driving major estate regeneration programmes, increasing affordable housing supply, and improving community living conditions. The successful candidate will lead complex projects, advise senior stakeholders, and create partnerships to achieve regeneration goals. The position requires strong leadership and project management skills to navigate a politically sensitive environment while ensuring resource alignment and budget adherence.

We are seeking an experienced regeneration leader to drive the delivery of major estate regeneration programmes across the city. This is a high-profile strategic role, responsible for shaping the future of Council estates, increasing the supply of affordable homes as well as improving the neighbourhoods and places in which our residents live.
You will lead complex regeneration programmes, influence senior decision-making and create partnerships across the city that drive forward regeneration on our estates. This includes identifying new opportunities for regeneration schemes and managing them to completion, as well as working with Homes England, the WMCA and the planning authority to ensure schemes are viable and meet housing need.
Birmingham is a city of both challenge and opportunity and we are looking for a self-starter who understands the housing market and has excellent programme and project management skills. The postholder must be resilient and able to build business cases for change in a robust and highly political environment. The postholder should always focus on developing communities for residents who need them the most, reducing the level of inequality across the city and creating great places to live.
You will be a senior regeneration professional with strong commercial awareness, political sensitivity and a track record of delivering large-scale housing-led transformation.
