Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Load vehicles correctly and ensure weight compliance.
  • Pick, check and load all items for delivery.
  • Ensure correct paperwork is marked off accordingly.
  • Unloading and checking goods upon receipt.
  • Assisting with weekly stock checks and maintaining tidiness.
  • Complete relevant paperwork adhering to company policies.
  • Ensure safety while driving the forklift.
  • Issue goods from stores to production staff.

The Role:

This job is based out of our Bedford Branch – MK41 0LF and is responsible for preparing orders and supporting smooth stores operations through efficient handling of goods.

Role Overview:
  • Ensure vehicles are loaded correctly and the weights comply with Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (weights are printed on delivery notes and it is dispatch and driver who checks them)
  • Check that all items for delivery are picked and loaded correctly (Pick, check and load all items for deliveries)
  • Ensure all correct paperwork is marked off accordingly
  • Unloading, receiving and checking the goods correctly and placing in the relevant stores area under routine system
  • Assisting with weekly stock checks and maintaining and tidiness of the stores area
  • Completion of relevant paperwork and adhering to company policy and procedure
  • Ensuring safety at all times while driving the forklift
  • Pick and issue goods for collections
  • Issue goods from stores to production staff
  • Receive and store goods made by production
Requirements:
  • Stores/warehouse experience
  • Reach/Counter balance experience/licence is desirable
  • Manual handling skills
What We Offer:
  • Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day, between the hours of 07:30 – 18:00
  • £25,397-£26,416 per annum
