Stock Controller – Used Car Dealership

Intoloop, Liverpool, England, United Kingdom.

We are looking for an Automotive Stock Controller to take ownership of our vehicle stock management, ensuring accurate, efficient and transparent control across sites.

What's on Offer: £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm (across sites in Liverpool and Manchester).

About the Role

As our Stock Controller, you will be responsible for managing and auditing a vehicle stock of between 1,300 and 1,500 cars, ensuring all vehicles are correctly accounted for from purchase through to sale. You'll work closely with the Finance Department to report on stock levels, valuations and discrepancies, playing a key role in supporting operational and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up to date vehicle stock records across all systems.
  • Carry out regular stock audits, reconciling physical and system data.
  • Investigate and resolve any stock discrepancies promptly.
  • Produce detailed reports and analysis for the finance team.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and logistics to ensure smooth stock flow.
  • Monitor stock ageing and highlight any potential issues or slow movers.
  • Support compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
About You
  • Proven experience in the motor trade.
  • Strong understanding of automotive stock control and auditing processes.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with multiple departments.
  • Proficient in dealer management systems (DMS experience advantageous).
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with a problem solving attitude.
