Staff Software Engineer – Tempcover

What You'll Be Doing
  • Effectively evolve, enhance, and modernize large-scale systems to enable rapid adaptability and continuous improvement.
  • Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems.
  • Develop and drive automation for deployment, monitoring, and scaling of infrastructure. Build tools and processes to enable continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
  • Make data‑guided decisions that impact core business metrics and processes.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of platform and reliability engineering approaches, including observability, performance optimisation, capturing analytics, and security best practices.
  • Drive the adoption of technologies like Go and Python.
  • Facilitate collaboration between teams and build a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on engineering best practices, coding standards, and troubleshooting.
What We're Looking For

Applicants should have strong proficiency developing applications using the following technologies and approaches:

  • Strong Golang knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda and DynamoDB (proficiency in Azure and Azure DevOps is a plus).
  • Containerisation and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform is a plus).
  • A solid understanding of development methodologies and design patterns.
  • Python and SST (desirable).
  • C# ASP.NET Core (desirable).
  • Cloudflare (desirable).
  • React, TypeScript, Astro, Node.js (desirable).
