Location: Glasgow

Emtec Fire Systems part of the Sauter Group is a leading sprinkler installation and maintenance provider, delivering, high-quality, compliant and innovative fire protection solutions across the UK.

We’re looking for a reliable and skilled and reliable Sprinkler Service Engineer to join our growing team based in the Glasgow area and will cover the whole of Scotland.

As a Sprinkler Service Engineer, you’ll carry out routine servicing, fault-finding, repairs and small works to ensure sprinkler systems remain compliant, reliable and ready when needed most. You’ll be the face of Emtec on site, delivering high quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

The Role

As a Service Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients across Scotland. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out routine servicing and inspections of sprinkler systems to BS EN 12845 / BS 9251
  • Test pumps, alarms, valves and system components, recording findings accurately
  • Diagnose faults quickly and complete repairs to a high standard
  • Respond to callouts and urgent breakdowns when required
  • Support small works such as head relocations, pipe alterations and minor upgrades
  • Complete deo service reports, defect sheets and customer documentation clearly and on time
  • Communicate effectively with clients and office teams about findings, follow-up works and parts needed
  • Maintain safe working practices, follow RAM Invents, and report hazards or near misses
  • Manage van stock, tools and equipment38 responsibly, keeping everything organized and compliant
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems within commercial, industrial and residential settings.
  • Strong knowledge of BS EN 12845 and/or BS9251
  • Ability to read technical drawings and understand system layouts.
  • Reliable and self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer facing ability.
  • A valid Full UK Driving License and CSCS card are essential.
It would be great if you have…
  • LPS1048 competency (Service engineer accreditation or working towards)
  • Training in pumps, valves alarm interfaces or CPVC systems.
  • IPAF, PASMA, Manual Handling and first aid certifications
