That includes conducting standalone assessments, running clinics for outpatients, making house calls, mentoring junior team members, and leading key meetings like multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions, Care Programme Approach (CPA) reviews, and Best Interest sessions. Core responsibilities include:* Performing independent evaluations in community settings.* Managing outpatient sessions and visiting patients at home.* Guiding junior doctors and senior nursing staff.* Making informed clinical choices and facilitating MDT, CPA, and Best Interest meetings.* Ensuring strong bridges between community and inpatient care for safe, cohesive, and individualized support.You will handle a specific group of patients, develop care strategies, oversee challenging cases, and assist with risk evaluations and protection measures. Being adaptable, tough in tough spots, and dedicated to helping people recover are must-haves.**Note**: As our needs shift, out-of-hours involvement could become part of the mix, even if it’s not in the initial plan.#### What We’re Looking For (Person Specification)#### Qualifications – Essential:* Full registration with the GMC.* MBBS or an equivalent medical degree.* For Specialty Doctors: At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate experience (or equivalent part-time), including 2 years in a psychiatry training program or as a fixed-term trainee in old age psychiatry – or comparable skills and knowledge.* For Specialist Grade Doctors (similar to former Associate Specialist): 12 years post-qualification, with at least 6 in psychiatry.* Proven ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary settings.* Enthusiasm for team-based and cross-disciplinary work.* Experience in leadership or management teams.#### Important Checks and RequirementsThis role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 to review any past convictions.We welcome skilled workers needing sponsorship – your applications will be treated equally.
