Specialist Physiotherapist - Winter Escalation

Job overview

We are looking for a full-time enthusiastic band 6 Physiotherapist to join our inpatient therapy team for a fixed term.

The successful candidate will work on the winter escalation ward, which is expected to be open from December '25 to March '26.

The post sits within the Medical, Endocrine, Respiratory and Renal Team (known as MERRIT). We are looking for a highly skilled Physiotherapist who demonstrates a passion for delivering high quality assessment and treatments.

The post includes involvement in the in service training rota as well as clinical supervision of therapy staff.

Participation in the on call respiratory out of hours service is not essential. However involvement on the discharge and orthopaedics weekend rota will be expected.

Informal conversations about this opportunity are welcome.

Please note that NHS experience is essential for this position.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

  • work with a diverse range of inpatients, many with complex conditions.
  • deliver comprehensive assessment, re-assessment, treatment planning and delivery of treatments
  • be a skilled communicator
  • demonstrate clear clinical reasoning when prioritising their caseload
  • be willing to supporting colleagues
