Dorset Wildlife Trust Gussage St Michael, Wimborne BH21 5HQ, UK

Join us for hands‑on conservation on beautiful chalk grassland!

Our volunteer work party meets once a month on a Saturday, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, throughout the winter. It’s a brilliant way to get outdoors, learn new skills, and help protect a special habitat.

Practical conservation tasks may include:

  • Hedge maintenance
  • Grassland management

All tools are provided.

No experience needed — just enthusiasm, teamwork, and a willingness to get stuck in!

From Blandford, head towards Salisbury on the A354.

Turn right at the signpost for Gussages / Horton.

After half a mile, turn left toward Gussage St Michael.

At the village junction, turn right.

The reserve is about half a mile along the road.

Park on the roadside near the water pumping station.
