Qualified Solicitor (NQ – 2 years PQE)
Job description

We are seeking to recruit a Solicitor (NQ – 2 years PQE) specialising in Real Estate law to join our busy and highly regarded team based in our London office.

Ashfords’ Real Estate Team is recognised for its expertise in investment, development, and asset management, providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice to clients across the property sector. The team delivers a full spectrum of legal services to a diverse client base, including major institutional investors, developers, lenders, local authorities, and private clients.

In this role, your primary focus will be on investment property work, including landlord and tenant matters, property acquisitions, and disposals. You will also support the wider Real Estate team on a range of general commercial property matters, offering the opportunity to gain broad experience across the full spectrum of real estate transactions.

Working closely with the Partner in the team, you will play an integral role in delivering an excellent service to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, forward-thinking team, where you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality legal advice within a friendly and supportive environment.

Who you are

You will have trained and qualified (or be approaching qualification) with a respected city, national, or regional law firm, gaining experience in real estate transactions, ideally including exposure to landlord and tenant, investment, or finance work.

A confident communicator with strong technical and analytical skills, you will be adept at managing your time effectively to meet client expectations and project deadlines. With a proactive and pragmatic approach, you’ll be eager to take ownership of matters (under appropriate supervision) and provide clear, concise advice grounded in a sound commercial understanding of your clients’ objectives.

Our clients value our commercial acumen and commitment to long-term relationships, so you will be personable, responsive, and motivated by building trusted connections with clients and colleagues alike. You’ll demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for real estate law and an interest in the wider issues shaping the sector, such as planning, ESG, market trends, and policy developments.

You’ll be encouraged to build your profile both internally and externally, with access to client engagement opportunities, industry events, and thought leadership initiatives that will enhance your professional growth and reputation.

In return, you will be fully supported in developing your career within a high-performing, supportive, and ambitious team.
