Job description
Our commercial services group acts for a wide variety of clients, ranging from household names to small start‑ups. Working as an extension of their clients’ teams, the group provides clear, practical legal advice to help manage risk and enable clients to focus on running and growing their businesses.

The team works across a broad range of sectors, including technology, manufacturing, retail, leisure and professional services, as well as charities and public‑sector organisations such as schools.

They advise on a wide spectrum of commercial law matters, including supply and purchase contracts, information law, e‑commerce, intellectual property licensing, IT agreements and outsourcing.

The role

This is a supporting role with a varied workload across a range of commercial work areas. You will be involved in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and advising on compliance issues, including data protection, e‑commerce and other relevant commercial laws.

You will assist more senior lawyers with negotiations as they advise clients on contractual structures and arrangements. There will also be opportunities to manage your own matters and develop client relationships, with support from the wider team.

The role sits within our hybrid working arrangements, combining office‑based and remote working.

What we’re looking for

This role would suit a lawyer with two years’ post‑qualification experience or above in commercial contracts who is keen to establish themselves within a forward‑thinking, business‑oriented team.

You will have a collaborative and flexible working style and be confident supporting colleagues across the team. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity when dealing with clients.
