A reputable law firm in Leeds is seeking a lawyer with at least two years of post-qualification experience in commercial contracts. The position involves drafting and reviewing agreements as well as advising on compliance matters including data protection and e-commerce. The role supports hybrid working arrangements, offering flexibility between office-based and remote work. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a collaborative working style to effectively engage with clients and colleagues alike.
The team works across a broad range of sectors, including technology, manufacturing, retail, leisure and professional services, as well as charities and public‑sector organisations such as schools.
They advise on a wide spectrum of commercial law matters, including supply and purchase contracts, information law, e‑commerce, intellectual property licensing, IT agreements and outsourcing.
This is a supporting role with a varied workload across a range of commercial work areas. You will be involved in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and advising on compliance issues, including data protection, e‑commerce and other relevant commercial laws.
You will assist more senior lawyers with negotiations as they advise clients on contractual structures and arrangements. There will also be opportunities to manage your own matters and develop client relationships, with support from the wider team.
The role sits within our hybrid working arrangements, combining office‑based and remote working.
This role would suit a lawyer with two years’ post‑qualification experience or above in commercial contracts who is keen to establish themselves within a forward‑thinking, business‑oriented team.
You will have a collaborative and flexible working style and be confident supporting colleagues across the team. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity when dealing with clients.
