Description & Requirements

Are you skilled in soldering and passionate about producing high-quality work? Join our friendly and professional team in the Finishing Cell, where precision and teamwork come together to deliver excellence. We’re looking for someone with experience in electronic assembly and soldering to IPC Class 3 standards, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in doing things right the first time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Soldering a variety of products, including SMT and PTH components, wires, and thermal planes using a variety of equipment.
  • Following detailed assembly instructions and build standards.
  • Performing hand cleaning, fitting mechanical fixings, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Completing paperwork for traceability such as batch records, build reports, and logs.
  • Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to identify and correct errors ensuring no scrap is created.
  • Attending team meetings and contributing ideas to improve processes.
  • Maintaining tools and equipment, including microscopes and soldering irons.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety guidelines and follow ESD requirement.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Working flexibly to help meet weekly production targets.

Person Specification

  • Minimum 12 months experience in soldering of electronic printed circuit boards and currently certified to IPC 610 or J-STD.
  • Knowledge of high critical soldering skills.
  • Skilled in SMT rework, multi-layer/PTH hand soldering, and wire modifications.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of English including verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work efficiently ensuring accuracy to a high level of throughput.
  • Professional attitude with strong communication skills.
  • A team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
