What you will do
  • Provide social work support and interventions to safeguard and promote children’s welfare, ensuring health, development, and secure attachments.
  • Support children with disabilities, minimising the impact of disabilities and promoting a normal life wherever possible.
  • Determine permanence for children unable to live at home, matching needs with a stable long-term plan.
  • Ensure children’s needs align with care or pathway plans to help them progress and reach their potential.
  • Focus on the child throughout assessments, planning, interventions, and reviews to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Act as the lead professional, coordinating input from multiple professionals to ensure effective interventions and lasting change.
  • Work closely with parents or carers to enhance protective factors and reduce risks to children’s welfare.
  • Support foster carers, special guardians, and other carers, ensuring children’s needs are met and preparing them for adulthood.
