Overview

Job Title: Independent Reviewing Officer (Social Worker). Specialism: Social Work. Location: Scott House, Cambridge, but IROs work a mix of working from home, fieldwork, and any CCC office. Duration of Assignment: 13 weeks. Salary: £42 per hour. Working Hours: 37 hours per week. Full Time.

Exciting opportunity for a skilled Independent Reviewing Officer who is enthusiastic about making a real difference in children’s lives. This role in Cambridge offers a competitive pay rate for a 13-week assignment with full-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Chair statutory Child in Care Reviews in person.
• Monitor ongoing progress of children’s care plans and pathway plans diligently.
• Identify areas where there is drift and delay in achieving permanence for children, and escalate issues per CCC’s Escalation Policy protocols.
• Visit children outside of reviews to ensure their well-being and progress.
• Travel to children at their care placements, with 50% residing outside of Cambridgeshire.
