Job summary

A leading UK civil engineering company is seeking a Slinger/Signaller for their projects in West London. The role involves attaching and detaching loads, ensuring safe lifting procedures and compliance with Health and Safety regulations. Candidates should have significant experience in tunnelling projects and hold a Blue CPCS A40 certification. This is a full-time position with a shift pattern of 5/2 - 12hrs. A commitment to safety and adherence to procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as Slinger/Signaller is necessary.
• Experience working on tunnelling projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Attach and detach loads from lifting equipment.
• Ensure correct use of lifting accessories and equipment.
• Direct safe movement of equipment and load.
• Follow the lifting plan and relay any concerns.
• Check all relevant lifting equipment before work.
• Follow Health and Safety procedures.

Location: West London

Shift Pattern: 5/2 - 12hrs

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for attaching and detaching the loads from the lifting equipment

• Ensuring correct use of lifting accessories and equipment

• Directing safe movement of equipment and load using a radio or hand signals

• Follow the lifting plan set out and immediately relay any concerns to the Crane Supervisor

• Carry out checks on all relevant lifting equipment before the work begins

• Always follow Health and Safety procedures

Qualifications/Training

• Blue CPCS A40 (Slinger) – All Types All Duties

• Tunnel Entry & Emergency Procedures (TEEPS) Training (Desirable)

• Tunnel Safety Training Scheme (TSTS) (Desirable)

• In-date Safety Critical Medical (Desirable)

• Must have experience working on a tunnelling project
