Purpose

We are looking for a skilled Joiner / Carpenter to join our Facilities team at Manchester City Football Club. This role will support the maintenance, repair, and improvement of Club buildings and facilities, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard across our sites.

You will work both independently and as part of a wider team, contributing to planned maintenance, reactive works, and improvement projects in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

Your Impact
  • Responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, joinery repair solutions for doors, (timber – metal) locks, ironmongery, seating, commercial interior spaces and all general maintenance tasks at, Manchester City Football Club, Stadium & Academy Campus
  • PPM includes statutory compliance such as emergency Health & safety, measures mechanical & electrically supported door access systems, fire regulations, glazing, building fabric etc so must be able to maintain site documentation to the required standards including ability to complete minor works & certificates etc.
  • The role also involves maintaining Buildings internally and externally, fault finding, repairs to door access systems, fire compliance, small paint repairs and all general building services etc.
  • Must be able to carry out works to the highest standards and to be able to assist in providing repairs/small installation works, costs to quotation level.
What we are looking for
  • A recognised Joinery / Carpentry City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 or similar apprenticeship- qualification and have a relevant industry experience & background
  • A sound knowledge of Health and Safety & Risk assessment
  • A full clean driving licence
  • Desired, certs – City Guilds, IPAF, PASMA.
  • Knowledge of maintenance software & FM systems, SLA’s etc.
  • Knowledge of BMS. (Building management systems) not essential as training is provided
  • Knowledge of building systems & construction.
  • Able to work self-managed, autonomously or as part of a team
  • A strong team spirit.
  • Reliable and dedicated with a can-do attitude.
