Job summary

A local education institution in Leeds is seeking a Site Superintendent to provide maintenance and security services at Kerr Mackie Primary School. The successful candidate will be committed to health and safety, and will play a key role in supporting a vibrant learning environment. Experience in a similar role is desirable. This is a permanent position with 30 hours per week scheduled from Monday to Friday.

Job title and organisation: Site Superintendent - Kerr Mackie Primary School

Salary: B1 pt 4 (can be discussed at interview based on level of experience)

Hours: 30 Monday to Friday 11:45am – 6:15pm

Contract: Permanent

Location: Kerr Mackie Primary School

Kerr Mackie is a large primary school in the Roundhay area of Leeds. The school is multi-cultural with pupils from a wide range of backgrounds. Our creative curriculum and teaching approaches together with the vibrant learning environments enthuse, engage and motivate our children.

We are seeking to appoint a Site Superintendent. Experience in working in a school in a similar role is desirable.

The successful candidate will:
  • Under the instruction/guidance of appropriate senior staff provide maintenance and security services on school sites and premises
  • Be committed to supporting the school with health & safety commitments, cleaning and maintenance duties and compliance.
  • Have high expectations of themselves and the children.
  • Be a confident and successful team player.
  • Be able to form excellent relationships with children, staff and families.
  • Have a sense of fun, enthusiasm, initiative and drive.
