Site Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Canary Wharf, East London

Salary: £48,000 per year

Hours: Monday-Friday split shift – week 1: 07:00–16:00, week 2: 09:00–18:00

Location: Canary Wharf, East London

About the Role

Our client seeks an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their on‑site team at a prestigious commercial office building in Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will deliver high standards of planned and reactive maintenance to ensure smooth operation and safety of all electrical systems and building services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks across the site.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Support building services operations including lighting, power and emergency systems.
  • Collaborate with the facilities team to maintain a high‑quality service environment.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (essential).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (essential).
  • Proven experience in commercial building maintenance.
  • Good understanding of general HVAC and mechanical systems (desirable).
  • Strong fault‑finding skills and a proactive, hands‑on approach.
