Sessional Lecturer – Construction / Green Skills

Join us as a Sessional Lecturer in Construction and Green Skills at South Thames College. We are seeking engaging and inspiring educators to deliver evening face‑to‑face classroom courses on the South Thames Wandsworth campus.

Key Courses
  • L1 Certificate in Skills for Employment in the Construction Industries
  • L3 Award in the Installation of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems
  • L3 Certificate in Retrofit Advisors (CG)
  • L2 Award in Retrofit (CG)
  • L3 Award in the Requirements for the Design & Installation of Domestic and Small Commercial Electric Vehicle Charging Installations
  • L3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems
Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess teaching for the listed courses.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to learners.
  • Prepare and maintain lesson plans, assessment materials, and learner records.
  • Maintain high teaching standards and comply with awarding organisation requirements.
  • Use digital platforms to support remote learning where appropriate.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and mandatory training.
Qualifications
  • Relevant professional qualification in one or more of the subject areas.
  • Teaching qualification (or willing to work towards one) and excellent current teaching skills.
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Good computer literacy and practical digital skills, including experience delivering remote learning.
  • Organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
