Brief job description

My client is an international provider of UPS systems and solutions. Innovative, comprehensive range of UPS systems and services protect a wide variety of organisations from the damaging effects of poor quality electrical power and power supply interruptions.

As an integral member of the Service Operations team, you will be responsible for providing commissioning, maintenance and repair services on industrial UPS, charger and associated equipment supplied or maintained by the client.

This is a field‑based position primarily UK‑based working on the industrial side of the client business which includes onshore and offshore oil & gas facilities and nuclear locations. Some travel time away from home is expected.

Responsibilities
  • Commissioning of industrial UPS systems and associated equipment.
  • Maintenance and repair of UPS systems, chargers and other power equipment.
  • Provide on‑site support at oil & gas, nuclear and other industrial sites.
  • Prepare service reports and timesheets.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and build long‑term relationships.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a service engineer.
  • Experience in the Electrical/Electronic industry or similar.
  • HNC / HND in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Self‑motivated and capable of operating with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working on industrial sites (power stations, oil & gas locations, nuclear facilities) is advantageous.
  • Ability to interface with various departments and personnel in potentially stressful situations.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • IT‑conversant; laptop computer or equivalent used for interfacing with the company’s products and for completing service reports and timesheets.
