We are currently seeking a proactive, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our busy after-sales team in Loughborough.
What You Will Be Doing
- Establishing strong relationships with customers, greeting, listening to concerns, understanding requirements and providing exceptional service.
- Booking vehicles for servicing, maintenance and repairs; managing diary slots, liaising between workshop, parts department and customer.
- Explaining vehicle issues, treatments, associated costs and timescales in clear language; acting as the crucial link between technicians and customers.
- Providing accurate cost estimates, obtaining authorisations, and keeping customers updated on progress.
- Identifying additional service opportunities (e.g., Vehicle Health Checks, genuine parts) while maintaining trust through honest advice.
- Ensuring all vehicle data, customer records and service histories are accurately documented in line with company and manufacturer standards.
- Handling any first-line customer enquiries or concerns with professionalism, escalating as appropriate and ensuring a positive outcome.
- Contributing to a team culture of continuous improvement, attending manufacturer training, understanding evolving customer needs and workshop processes.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role (ideally in an automotive/motor-trade after-sales environment).
- Strong communication skills, you can explain technical or service information in straightforward, customer-friendly terms.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, able to balance diaries, workshop flow, and customer expectations.
- A proactive mindset with an ability to identify opportunities for adding value (while maintaining integrity and trust).
- Comfortable working with IT systems (booking/CRM/DMS) and confident with numbers when preparing quotations and dealing with invoices.
- A driving licence is desirable (depending on business needs).
