Overview

Job Purpose – EVM UK a leader in the bus and coach industry, known for engineering precision and innovation, is expanding its team. We are seeking experienced Senior Technician with PSV experience to join our dynamic service team at our office in Horsham, West Sussex. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for growing parc of buses and coaches, directly impacting our commitment to reliability and customer satisfaction.

As our Senior Technician you will form technical support and diagnostics for the range of products we offer. This will involve fault diagnostics and warranty repair’s on all new and used vehicles in the full EVM / AOS range.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, including axle and driveline repairs.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections, routine maintenance, preventative measures, and repairs to ensure vehicle reliability and roadworthiness.
  • Diagnosing faults on HGV/PSV air systems.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and stay abreast of emerging technologies within the industry.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

  • In-house training and development with Engineering and technical experts.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Technician within the bus, coach, or heavy vehicle sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
  • Ability to work independently in a workshop environment, managing time and resources effectively.
  • Full driving license, with the willingness to travel across the designated region.
  • Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Full clean driving licence. D (PSV) Licence preferrable.
