Job summary

A leading technology solutions provider in Farnborough is seeking a Senior Services Engineer to support the deployment and maintenance of intelligence products. The role requires strong technical knowledge in network security, troubleshooting, and customer support, with responsibilities including advanced troubleshooting, remote support, and documentation. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in high-tech environments and must be willing to obtain security clearance. This position offers a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in high tech, preferably in telecom and large system deployments.
• Must be willing and eligible to obtain a security clearance.
• Familiar with packet capture tools.
• Experience with scripting (Shell/Bash, Python, Perl) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with advanced troubleshooting and testing new installation procedures.
• Provide remote support to the customer base.
• Help customers with equipment configuration and upgrades.
• Document and provide knowledge transfer information across multiple groups.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for 24x7 support.

Skills

Technical understanding of network and IT security

Strong knowledge of IP protocols at packet level

Strong ability to analyze log files

Strong knowledge of Linux Operating Systems

Excellent customer service skills

Self-motivated

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field
