You will also provide valuable customer insights to internal Marketing, R&D, and Product Development. This highly visible role offers opportunities to share your work both internally and externally and is ideal for someone seeking an opportunity for both technical and professional growth. We are looking for a special individual who would thrive at the intersection of science, technology, and customer engagement within a global leader in analytical science.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject‑matter insight to support impactful pre‑sales discussions with customers and the Waters Sales team.
  • Continuously develop technical expertise and application knowledge to stay aligned with market dynamics and new product introductions that drive regional sales growth.
  • Play a key role in introducing new technology to the demo team, supporting cross‑training and demo strategy.
  • Provide field insights on products, markets, and applications to inform and support new and early‑stage product development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements and Health & Safety standards.

This is primarily a lab‑based role, however, with up to 20% regional travel as required, and some opportunity for hybrid home working.

Qualifications
  • BSc degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, with relevant LC/MS industry, academic, or commercial experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry.
  • Experience developing and using quantitative LC/MS/MS methodologies.
  • Flexibility to develop skills across different applications, with particular interest in those who have worked in:
    • Pharmaceutical quantitative analysis (e.g., bioanalysis or ADME)

    • Pesticide or other contaminant screening by HRMS
    • Environmental screening by HRMS
    • Quantitative or qualitative GC/MS applications
  • Hands‑on experience with Waters MS products and software (e.g., Waters Connect, MassLynx, UNIFI, related application managers) is preferred; experience in alternative MS technologies and operating systems is also welcome.
  • Experience in a customer‑facing role is preferred but not crucial; candidates should show strong business insight and awareness of the commercial landscape.
Benefits

In addition to salary, Waters offers flexible working, 25 days of annual holiday, and excellent family‑friendly benefits, including attractive employer pension contributions, life assurance, income protection, and private medical coverage.
