Job summary

A well-established construction business in Elland, Halifax is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the financial and commercial management of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, at least 5 years of experience, and strong analytical and negotiation skills. This role offers a salary range of £60,000 to £65,000 plus additional benefits, including a car allowance.

  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers and design teams to ensure commercial success.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the surveying team.

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Cyber Security Forum Initiative

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the financial and commercial management of construction projects from inception to completion. You'll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review tender documents, contracts and bills of quantities.

About You
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (RICS membership desirable).
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within main contracting or similar construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Commercially astute, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites in the North.
Salary & Benefits

Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 per annum plus £6,000 Car or Car Allowance and an excellent benefits package.
