We are now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in our Eastern Region to work on Roads and Highways infrastructure schemes in Suffolk and Essex.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and mentor junior staff
  • Maximise profitability on contracts
  • Monitor contract costs against budgets
  • Identify potential risks and evaluate control options
  • Prepare estimates
  • Procure sub-contractors, including preparing sub-contract documents
  • Assess and certify interim and final payments to subcontractors
  • Prepare and agree on main contract variations
  • Assist in preparing documents for dispute resolution (adjudications / arbitrations)
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental policies and company procedures
Skills Required
  • Ambitious individual with excellent communication skills and a flexible approach
  • Innovative problem-solving skills and negotiation ability across construction levels
  • Strong numeracy and IT skills for handling financial and mathematical demands
  • Experience working on civil engineering schemes with a main contractor
  • Experience as an SQS working with the NEC form of contract
