Job summary

A leading company in structural steel in Tees Valley is seeking a Quality Manager with a strong background in structural steel work and welding quality management. The role involves maintaining and improving the ISO9001 Quality Management System, overseeing quality control for fabrication, and ensuring compliance with EN1090 standards. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of relevant experience, hold a CSWIP 3.1/3.2 Welding Inspector certification, and possess exceptional communication and organizational skills. Qualifications

• At least 6 years experience within the structural steel work or fabrication sector.
• Proven experience as a Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) in line with ISO3834-2 and EN1090.
• Experience conducting ISO9001 and EN1090 internal audits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the company’s ISO9001 Quality Management System.
• Oversee quality control for structural steel work fabrication.
• Ensure compliance with EN1090 requirements and Factory Production Control.

Skills

Strong understanding of welding and fabrication processes

Experience preparing and inspecting LTQRs

Good knowledge of NDT techniques

Exceptional attention to detail

Strong communication skills

Education

CSWIP 3.1/3.2 Welding Inspector certification
