About The Role

To help us achieve our ambitions we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, team player to join our developing public health team. Working within a team of four health intelligence specialists you will support the development of public health and population health management approaches within the emerging integrated care system, working in partnership with council and NHS intelligence functions, providing timely analysis, evaluation, and intelligence to support collective planning and delivery.

Collaborative working is integral to delivering for our residents and you will engage in effective working relationships and productive partnerships with all the relevant partners, including those in e.g., education, health, social services, Independent and voluntary sectors, and within the new NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) structure (at regional, ‘place’, and neighbourhood levels).

Candidate Profile
  • You will have specialist knowledge of public health statistical techniques, close familiarity with sources of data on health, demographics, and wider determinants, and the ability to derive and share population health insights with a variety of audiences.
  • You will have strong technical skills in the use of analytical software to create dashboards, maps, and tabular presentations. Experience with database querying or statistical programming languages is desirable but not essential. Your experience will include adhering to strict data security and confidentiality standards.
  • You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to work in partnership across boundaries with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Your adaptability and superb organisational skills will enable you to manage competing priorities, and you will remain flexible and adaptable working within the team.
  • You will be able to demonstrate your commitment to ongoing professional development.
