Job description
Senior Project Engineer

A well-established and prestigious manufacturing organisation are hiring a Senior Project Engineer on a permanent basis. Working within a fast-paced and high-tech manufacturing environment, the primary focus of the role is to deliver a range of technical engineering projects from cradle to grave.

Work arrangement: Site-based, Monday to Friday, 08:30‑16:30 (37.5 hours).

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to Site Operations Manager and responsible for all site engineering projects.
  • Managing a team of 2 Project Engineers and working closely with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Focusing on automation upgrades and electrical systems (drives, controls, PLCs, etc.).
  • Taking ownership of numerousengineeringprojects from initial conception through to project completion and deployment (valued up to £150k).
  • Working alongside a Central Engineering function for the delivery of CAPEX projects (valued up to £10m).
  • Establishing best practice for all engineering projects and acting aselectricalsubject matter expert and a mentor for others.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must hold at least a HND (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline, a proven track‑record in delivering projects within a manufacturing and/or production environment, and be competent in automation, control systems, and electrical engineering.
